You might not see yourself as a photographer, or you might have few followers from your personal Instagram account but have no idea how to go about making an Instagram for your business. Don’t let the sheer size of the platform put you off – anybody can use Instagram to build their business and learn how to use it.

Instagram is the global community where anyone can express themselves to the people who matter to them. As the first-ever 2022 Instagram Trends Report shows, it's also a place for brands to forge connections with new customers by joining conversations and taking part in moments that matter to their community.

Every month, more than one billion people use Instagram, and over five million companies use it to visually convey their stories, engage with their fans, and promote their brand. You can tell your story and highlight products seamlessly, so people can easily shop at the moment of discovery from Instagram Shopping. Small businesses who use Instagram report more online sales and more word-of-mouth promotions than companies who don’t. If you're new to Instagram, it might be intimidating to consider how you'll stand out in such a crowded field. However, getting started with Instagram is easier than it appears.

In this post, you'll learn the fundamentals of Instagram, such as how to set up your profile and how to publish a photo or story to Instagram, as well as some more advanced topics such as Instagram statistics and how to use some cool tools to help you expand your following.

Taply is here to help you build your brand's story on Instagram beyond photos and videos, leveraging hashtags and Stories for marketing insights, sales and customer support, eCommerce and more. We can teach you how to use Instagram to attract new customers and grow your business faster than ever.

Build Community

Reach new audiences where businesses are welcomed and celebrated by reaching new audiences. 90% of people on Instagram follow a business while 2 in 3 people surveyed say Instagram enables interaction with brands. What’s more than word of mouth and multiple positive reviews, right?

Think out of the box

50% are more interested in a brand when they see ads for it on Instagram. Participating in trending challenges lands you followers and attracts consumers. Turn Instagram communities into customers by helping them easily discover and buy products they love—right in the moment. Participating in trends and challenges gives you a somewhat free-form advertisement and gaining followers at the same time. Trending challenges and acts of kindness by helping people help themselves with your brand to back them up is pure bliss to us, users, viewers and now future customers and will turn into a brand ambassador.

Marketing guide

Instagram is becoming a great platform for marketers, whether it be a company or an individual selling a product. The guiding feature will allow people to guide others through their day-to-day lives and shows how many things they do on a daily basis. Instagram is great for marketers because they can capitalize on the social aspect of the site and the fact that new people can continuously find them.

Think of this as your invitation to learn how to go viral on Instagram. Of course, it will help if you have plenty of followers and/or a really amazing profile photo. But I guarantee it also helps if you provide high-value content to your followers. By making a great guide, post, or video that doesn't take more than ten minutes to create, you'll be well on your way towards adding more tone-of-voice content to the network, which is best suited for this kind of outreach anyway. In other words—consider all the above information along with the following plea: please use this article and research as a springboard for creativity and inspiration…and then make something new from scratch! That's how things get interesting. And in the long run, that's what will keep people coming back for more.
